My glove slid off my tank and landed on my pipes... DOH!! Now I've got a beautiful, black, gooey mess on my nice chrome pipes. Any tips on getting that crap off w/out scratching my pipes all up? Bug and Tar remover maybe?? Anyone else do anything stupid like this?

Oh yes, it happened before! But ussualy it's a piece of skin on my pipe...fuckin' shorts...(see pic, 4 spots in a row under eachother Leather also though, I tried it with a cloth soaked in therpentine or thinner and let it rest on the spot during a semi warm (not hot!)exaust, ussualy it wiped right of...it might need some help from your nail though...(I tried Blue Job but it slightly scratched my pipes...) good luck!

"Blue job" will take it off and if it's really persistant, try "EasyOff" oven cleaner. Just be careful.
