Quick question for y'all. Just got a sweet little scoot that has martini shaker exhausts. I was wondering, if I chop off the shakers and just rock it as a straight pipe, will I need to rejet the carbs? Or can I just go ahead and ride? Thanks.

Depends on whether or not it's jetted correctly now. Read the plugs. If the jetting is perfect now, it may need changing. Depends on how much back pressure change occurs due to the muffler removal. Conventional wisdom would say you'll need to re-jet, but the only way to answer that question is to ride and evaluate it.

now, if he was goona chop 'em in half, thad be another story.


but yeah, chop 'em off and do a plug reading.
