Today is a very sad day for motorcycle racing. Marco Simoncelli was a breath of fresh air to the sport and he will be sadly missed.

I always check first thing with my morning coffee the MotoGP results and I am truly sorry for all of his family and fans. This is a sad day for all of us and he was becoming one of the aliens that could run the pace up front. GOD speed Marco!!!

Just really sad. He was an amazing rider, who had the heart of a true racer. Never a dull moment when he was around, both on and off the track. I was really looking forward to seeing him progress in the next few years.

I had an e-mail from a friend this morning with the terrible news. I'd love to be able to write something profound but I'm not great with words. I am deeply saddened and my prayer go out to his family and to Rossi and Edwards. I can't imagine how they must feel. R.I,P.
