Has anyone made a 45 swingarm frame?
I have the front of a servicar frame, from the trans casting and top seat post casting forward, including a complete springer front end
I have been tossing around the idea of making it into a swing arm frame.
Anyone have any suggestions?
there was a wrecked servi frame at a swap meet here a year or two ago... had me thinking along the same lines. swingarm the frame, have a 45 cafe type of bike going on.
I chopped that thing up before Xmas. While the concept might have been cool the execution was "typical" 70's. The gap between the rear of the gearbox mount and the swingarm pivot was bridged by welding in a large nut.
I know this guy "45phil" he lives 100 mile south from me, over the last 15+ years he's converted at lest 5 45's into swing arm frames using triumph gearboxes.
they look pretty cool but never really got the point of it all.
I'll see if I can dig up a pic
