I'm hoping that SOME of you mofo's can actually read??? :D

I'm looking for books on the history of EARLY motorcycle manufacturing in the US (1901-1914)...

(I came across a book a few months ago but lost the reference. It was a thorough research of MotoCycle manufacturing in New England - 150/200 companies at that time- It was NOT a coffee table type of book. I THINK it was published by a New England Museum?)

I'd love to find documentation and books relating to early MotoCycle fabrication, foundrywork, machining and metalworking?

Any references you'd like to share?

Thanks in advance,
whizzerick

The Iron ******* by Harry V Sucher has three chapters devoted to the era that you are interested in .It is well written and researched covering the history of Indian ,well worth finding a copy ,even has an appendix on the crocker as a bonus.
Though not Specifically about manufacturing etc American Racing Motorcycles by Jerry Hatfield covers alot of the early manufacturers forays into the racing game before it narrowed down to the HD vs Indian vs Brit racing of later years.
Hope you find that helpful.
