Heh heh! That song was on the radio when we drove to Fredricksburg last month. Austin radio rocks! I heard Alejandro Escovedo playing on FatLucky's little clock radio yesterday.

Was there a "Redhead in Black Leather... " any where near by?

If you get the reference then you are a music nerd or live in a college town.....

There is/was a proposed rebirth, don't know what the status is now but check out the link...

I've been to this site a lot, in fact I just checked it out this morning.. I don't think they're gettin' off the ground. Proposed production was late 2004, it's going to be late 2005 and not a peep yet. I've emailed them several times w/out a response.

I would definitely pay $20,000 for one though... in a heartbeat.

I'd rather have an Egli. Rumor has it that the new manu was planning on using a Honda heartbeat.

a few years ago i saw one as nice as either of those out at bonneville. never heard what speed he ran out to but it was awesome to watch it at the starting line and leaving for a trip down the black line.

maybe someone who's out there right now has seen it again and will take a pic. as i recall i was so dumbstruck (happens easily to some of us) that i never even thought of taking pix 'til it was gone. i left that afternoon without ever finding it in the pits.
