Riding to work the other day, my valves start making that unmistakable noise that it is time to adjust my pushrods. I have adjusted these valves a few times in the past year, never any issues, it goes right back to being a one or two kick bike. This time after I adjust pushrods, I good back through them to check how they feel and 3 out of the 4 have tightened back up. So, I go about redoing the adjustment and again 3 out of 4 tight. I do this for 4 hrs, thinking I have to be doing something wrong. So the next day I loosen the shit out to the pushrods just to see and same thing. The only pushrod that doesn't tighten back up is the rear intake.

Any ideas on what I should check or what could be going on?

Was the motor absolutely cold when you started? If you started with a warm motor, as the cylinders cooled and shrunk, that would make the valve adjustment tighten up.

When was the last time you were in the camchest? You may have lifter rollers going out, or a spun bushing/bad bearing.
