Dumb question time. Stock setup. But I am missing something. The spacer is symmetrical, flange on both ends (non-brake side).
This doesn't seem right to me. The side contacting the hub will hit the part of the hub that rotates. I obviously don't want my spacer to rotate or scrape, so when I installed my wheel, I machined my own spacer with a flange only on the outboard end.
But I can't help but think I am missing something obvious. Surely the factory wouldn't make a part that made no sense (all joking aside). So how is it the stock spacer works?
