dude, my mom had to pull one OUT of my shin once. no stitches..it was just stuck there.

back in my bmx day's, occasionally someone would catch a hutch beartrap to the shin and need to get stitched...i guess as a kicker it would be a beartrap to the calf..same outcome i'm sure!
