jockeyshifting a dometype tranny?

hi.
anyone here running a jockeyshifted dometyp 4speed?
word came to me that it was nearly impossible to transform/use a dometype tranny into/as a classic jockeshift setup.
ifso, please place me some pics her.
maybe sounds stupid, but i dont feel like tearing down primary, clutch, starter ´n all and finding out that it´s all for nothing.

and yes i know i can change out my domebox for a rachettopbox....but A i simply dont have the money to buy one and B this box works/shifts perfect..so why change it.

Here is everything you need to know: http://www.bikernet.com/pages/story_detail.aspx?id=1981
Why can't you fab a shift handle and bolt it directly to the tranny and do away with the linkage?
I had a jockey shift on my cow pie (dome type). i just did away with all the linkage and bolted the handle right to the shift arm. It worked ok, had trouble finding neutral, but that mey have been the tranny itself, it had a few miles on it.
I run just off the shaft itself. No problems. Some aftermarket places make an actual bolt on handle that incorperates the linkage for some support and it takes some stess off the shaft.

I like the cowpie's shorter throw for jockey shifting.

"nearly impossible" ? sounds like bad advise
