I've been following the taboo thread and reading about some bad accidents. I've yet to have a downer on the road, but plenty in my highschool days racing enduro MX. I know my day will come, no doubt about it.

Anyway, tonight I'm putting along on my way to my shop to diagnose and fix an issue with my rear lights when I had one hell of a close call. I got left-turned by a SEMI coming off the interstate onto the overpass bridge I was on. I couldn't believe it, the assjack looked straight at me, dumped the clutch and ran the stop sign with me not even 50' away. I had nowhere to go but into the bridge guardrails, so no choice but to lock it up and start laying it down.

After I got done showing the asshole that he was #1, I got to thinking about how I really need to add a good leather jacket to my gear. The only reason I don't have one yet is that I'm 6'4" and have arms like a damn orangutan and can never find ones that have the sleeves cut long enough.

So, long ass post short, who can direct me to a GOOD jacket that will fit a tall guy like myself? Ability to add armor inside and zip out a liner would also be a plus.

Hi tall people. Fortuantely for me I'm an average size guy so buying doesnt affect me as badly as the rest of ya'll. However with that said I found that I got a better deal "quality wise" by having my jacket made. Not sure where you all are but there is a place here in San Diego CA called the San Diego leather jacket factory. They mesure you up and it takes about 4 weeks to get it done.

I'm not sure if this helps but if you're ever in San Diego, I'll be glad to take ya down there so you can get hooked up.

Oh yeah my jacket cost me about 3 bones, been down once in it, saved my skin so to speak.

Gauntlet gloves will keep the wind out of your sleeves while you ride.

Bunch of knuckle draggers...

i'm 6'2". But i have a positive ape index. My arm span is over 6'5" making long sleeved shirt buying and jacket fitting a chore. I might have to get a jacket custom fit. Thats gonna be pricey.
