Interesting video a friend just shared with me from the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races.

WARNING Parts are graphic and violent.

Amazing how Conor crashes and goes sailing. Then picks up his bike and crashes in the same spot again. Not content with throwing it away twice he dumps it in the same corner for a third time. There are so many better videos of the TT out there. To me that is just yellow journalism (or yellow videoism if you like). It was posted here a couple of weeks ago. Go to you tube Buzz and check out some good TT videos and leave the garbage behind.
I agree with hoofhearted , the history of the iom tt is the history of motorcycling , from the first racing with the likes of the collier brothers on basically bicycles with crude engines attached through to today with the japanese four cylinder machines travelling at ballistic speeds sometimes over 200mph.
Nearly every great has raced there , agostini , mcintyre, duke , the dunlop family, the jefferies family, mike hailwood , and many more , the racing is too good to concentrate on lads taking spills. Over 230 people have died at these races in 100 years so the accidents are something no one wants to linger on.
Oh come on guys, give the guy a break.
Yes, much respect should be paid to the TT and those that race it, but this video is only intended to illustrate the danger of the race, and the potential peril those that race it face each time.
There are plenty of other points to be made about the TT, like its place in motorcycle history, and like the legends it has created (and taken away from us,) however that wasn't the point of the vid. Plenty of those vids kicking around too...

they were showing the same footage over and over!

Duh!
This video wasn't particularly good at highlighting what the TT is.

However even a neophyte could see these guys have huge balls. Record is an average of 131? Holy shit most riders have never touched a buck ten.
Sorry ,I didn't mean to attack the op , but the isle of man tt is a very special race and that video is not very good , it showed conor cummins in his spectacular off three or four times , he survived it but was severly injured as you would expect. Search youtube for an onboard lap with joey dunlop ,he holds the record for most wins and was an amazing person in his non racing life too.
I can't say bad enough things about that video. Pure sensationalism. Nothing more. Much like the commercials we get here for NASCAR (truck series in particular). We all know that racing is dangerous. The Island is still he greatest pure road course in the world.
I AGREE TOO !!! Not only that, Buzz has bad posture !
I think the TT video is great! All balls all the time. Sure it shows some wrecks... a couple of times. But all the footage of high speed sketchyness....Well you have done it or not.
Sure it shows some wrecks...
The same fucking crash three times!!!! I like to think when we go to a race we go to race or spectate without licking our lips for a crash. Or is that all you look at a race for?
Like everyone else i have been down the road a few times and take no pleasure in crashes of any type, its a horrible experience.
the death toll in road racing is huge, there was a repeat of a race shown on television over here that was about 10 years old and i think nearly everyone on the starting grid was subsequently killed in other races.
Yeah. the music was a little crappy take out the wrecks and its just neat to see some bikes flying past people and neighborhoods at super high speed. How hard is it to get over there to watch the races??

Its easy , what is difficult is getting accomodation of any sort , most camp but i have heard of scumbags stealing from tents while people are watching the racing, don't forget the manx grand prix which is run for classics in august, they are getting lap times of over 100 mph on manx nortons and beesa goldstars.
while I cannot speak for him I doubt Buzz had any ill will in posting this. that being said, as much as I love the IOM TT, I cannot say I love see the crashes. for me the beauty is in the speed and grace of talent it takes to ride that course.
i watched the video again, i think its absolutly insane how fast these guys are goin, and i think showing the crashes just drives the point home about how genuinly dangerous this race is, and how big your balls gotta be to compete here. i didnt think the crash footage was intended to sensationalize them.. i dont know, seein the bikes wobble on one wheel cresting hills..pretty impressive to me.
