Okay I have an 81 Ironhead with maybe a 1000 miles on the top end, Crane Hi4 single fire ignition, S&S E, upsweep pipes 1-3/4". The rev limiter is maxed on the Hi4. Around town and cruising 55 to 65 I'm good but if I'm letting it eat in the higher RPM's and it almost acts like it hits the rev limiter, and it may well be doing that. In the past when I hit the limiter it was way faster than what I was doing today. In the past though when I hit the limiter it kinda popped and killed the power til you got low enough in the revs. This time it's like it's not killing the power so much as losing power, it's still running, like it's starving for gas. It's running rich also, but a richer tune at higher revs wouldn't starve it right??? Any thoughts?
