Hey guys, my name is Ros and I've been working on an evo based rigid for about a year and half now. I'm moving out of my house in 3 weeks and that puts me under the gun to finish the bike before then.

I just got to the point where I got my driveline lined up nicely...

and then I couldn't get anything to spin, even in neutral. So I start pulling things off to see what was making it all bind. Belt, chain, and kicker came off. Still, gears would only turn partially before locking up. If I cheat the sliding gears so that none are engaged, everything spins freely... if I engage any of the sliding gears, it locks up...

what should I be looking at? do I need to pull the gears? this is a new tranny, so i've been a bit skeptical that it's anything internal, but as I said, i've pulled everything else off of it... the only thing left on the exterior is the tranny sprocket.

I'm learning as I go along, and I wouldn't be suprised if I'm missing something very basic... any help would be greatly apprecialted.

thanks for the reply scott... at one point, i realized that when i loosened the trap door and gave the mainshaft a little room for play, it stopped binding and would engage the gears properly.... so i tore the guts out and the problem ended up being that the mainshaft bearing in the trapdoor busted thru the door and was protruding into the case more than an 1/8 of an inch... not exactly sure what caused that to happen... the bearing retainers on the outside were still in the correct place... just buying a new (stronger) trap door and all the spacing should go back to normal...
