Based on the fact that this particular part is pressed fitted in, I’m assuming that it’s safe to heat the area and push the pin out from the opposite side, would that be correct? Has anybody had any luck removing these? I am not finding any information in any manual or shop literature.

Should be press fit

I have removed those before heat would fine and then drive it out no problem .

You were correct, a little heat and POP, right out
