theres a few guys on here that should know a trick or 2 or leads.
ironwigwam or creepinogie.

a neighbour used to have a matchless with a 741 in it , looked a natural fit, it came down to mounting plates (for any frame). If your talking chief mounts thats a diff story. Harley motor = harley frame

idea sounds good tho

Sounds like a doable project. But the kickstart lever on a Chief has a pivot pin in the frame.
Winter is getting closer. Been averageing 1 barn painter a week around here for the last 4 weeks. Their story is I got some paint left over from doing some jobs up north . I can give you a good deal on painting your barns.

600cc.HD tanks.

check this site, hit "custom bikes" on the handle bars, theres some delicious bikes there....oh crap! ...theres kwakas too. ***theres a swing arm chief at the bottom.

I cant remember where else Ive seen this style , Im retarded on the computa. Itll come to me . they look figgin hot those old cheifs.

Here in NZ theres quite a good number of them. I remember when 741 were going for $5-7 K restored that was only the 1990s...now ave $1k just for the frame! Ive heard of stories using excess 741 parts for CONCRETE REINFORCING!!!

I think Indian Larry had a bike featured in Iron Horse magazine in the 80s that had an Indian engine in a Harley frame. I don't remember what issue but it was when David Snow was still the editor.

Iron Horse # 70 from Nov 1987. Dragon had posted some pics somewhere, can't remember which thread. It wasn't a Harley frame. Larry built a frame from scratch using Indian mounts and Harley rear section.
To Necron 99 Are you looking to do this modification? Find a cut Indian frame and save yourself alot of modifications. I found a chopped 46 frame that I'm using for a hardtail project. Fred

cant see why you'd want to put an Indian motor into a Harley frame when there's so many better handling options..
This coming from a guy with weld on hard tail.....:p

I'm thinking more along the lines of XR750 frame or even KR750 frame. Thing is, once you get into those kinds of things, youmight as well just get a repro Kiwi frame.
