ok, so the saga continues.... 88 250 eliminator....heres what ive done....

changed oil
new plugs
cleaned out carbs (jets were FILTHY, couldnt even see through em)
blew out fuel lines
checked all fuses, etc...

bike sat over winter, then my old man picked it up for $200 not runnin with 2800 miles on it, from some old lady 2 houses down from him... this thing is PISSIN me off... granted, im a car guy, but ive done what made sense to me... turns, but wont catch... WTF???? am i a MORON, i GOTTA be missin something small here... help me out guys!!! this is makin me never wanna build my own bike, then again, i would never do somethin this new.... LMAO... had my 66 honda runnin in 2 hours after sittin for 15 years!

i just gotta throw this out there......batt got a charge and all conections made. Got gas. Did you feed the gerbil that turns the wheel inside the motor :D

funny man, LMAO... for real, i laughed HARD... yeah, its a lil shitty parallel twin, but hes 60, and doesnt want anything else, not to mention hes poor as SHIT and unemployed... i keep sayin we should get r goin and ebay it, they sell for around $1k for some ODD reason, then i could find him a cool jap bike... but anwyays... LOL... batt should be charged well enough, it was new, all cionnections made it seems... man, this is BOTHERING me

dont have a battery charger ,any other way to do it????

i was gonna jump with my lil honda to see if battery is ok, but its 6v.... so doesnt help, LOL... lights and all work fine, i think battery is ok, maybe just doesnt have enough... idk....

that's not SO bad...I bet with some choppin' & droppin' & bobbin' (and maybe some ralphin' or freddin') that would be a cool little bike

ummm, how about the float bowls on the carbs? Are they sticking? Good fire to the spark plugs? Obviously the starter motor is turning......does it have a kick start?

no kick start... not sure about floats... didnt seem to be stickin...

ps, he wont let me TOUCH it besides to get it runnin, already tried to get him to hardtail it and maybe solo seat, wasnt into it...

carbs were in my hand apart this mornin, jets were CLOGGED to shit, couldnt see light at ALL... didnt really check out floats... hmmm... idk though , does seem possible ,but probable? idk

Spank the monkey! feed the gerbil! then bump start the bike down a very very steep hill with lots of traffic and dont forget the blindfold the Monkey!

ANY other ideas?? i mean i guess i will rip apart the carbs again, and check the floats... i just wanna get it runnin, i mean my old man deserves this, as much of a pain in my ass as he is... let me know guys, this thing wont kick!!!
