Got some rings from a buddy for my triumph motor and it 40 over..new pistons new bore job...but the rings were not in a box,,several sets,,we think may be 40 over?? theres no stamping on them so what the best way to id the size? if they were 60 over would they just not go in the cylinder? anyone know how to measure them???
You just need to put one in the cylinde.Like what was said, youll know right way if its 60 over.Square it up by pushing on it with the top of the piston & measure the gap with feeler gauge.
