Need some black header wrap and don't really want to spend a fortune for it. Seems like the going rate is $70 to $80! Let me know what the deal is!
Thanks!

I dont remember the brand I got, but I agree on the black color they came with, turned almost white with a short bit of riding. I painted it with high heat BBQ black from krylon worked perfect. One batch on the turbo headers I painted high heat silver and they still look great.Animal Mother said:I've tried DEI and Thermo-Tec and neither lasted more than 100 miles before turning from balck to grey (see post further down). I've been thinking about trying the stuff from JP Cycles to see if it's any better. Does anybody know what Flyrite used on the "1/4 Scorcher"?
I figured, but wanted to make sure. That shit STINKS!!!!!!!!! WHEW!!Rocks Chops said:Its normal for the wrap to smoke for about the first 20 minuates or so. Its all the die and grim burning off.
That's pretty much what my wrap looks like also.baytowngreaser said:The same shit happened to me, I thought I had done something wrong and that my bike was about to burn down!!...
