Howdy,
I'm Doug from Rome, NY and I currently have (4) bikes:
'83 Electraglide, mostly running, a few minor problems
'64 Duoglide, needs motor mount welded
'73 Sportster, needs an oil pump
'83 FXR, Custom Rigid in process

I have a very small garage and only beginner's level of knowledge - but I am learning a lot and will continue to work with the older machines as I feel they have more character and soul, if you will.

Thanks in advance for your input on various issues I may post about!

Small world I lived in Rome, NY in early 50's went to Bell road Elementary next to Air force base That is no more and I'm pretty sure they renamed the school. I was there when it opened (1st grade). Lived on South Crescent Drive 2 houses from the park. Lot of good memories as a little one! Lots of snow in the winter!!!!

Thanks Blackbee - Fredonia, that's Buffalo area correct?

Here is the roller that the '83 FXR motor is going into, with a 6 speed, 3" open belt primary and belt final - nice & smooth.

As for the '64 Duoglide - I am going to assemble it with all period correct parts although not a pure restoration, and stripped down a bit (no windshield, no bags, no engine guards, no passing lights etc.)

All my bikes are the same color - black!

Thanks Bob! Yeah, probably too many projects although I do have a semi-structured plan to complete each them in good order between this year and next.

If you're ridin through Rome this summer, look me up (315) 225-6610 if you have an extra hour to stop for a beverage!

Thansk for all the warm welcomes - I can tell this is a good bunch of bros.

I have already got some good tips regarding a problem with my '83 shovelhead.

Man the internet is a great tool!
