Hey Guys,

Don't post a lot here, but thought some of you might like a little sheet metal work...
The original tank is fiberglass, and the customer couldn't stop it leaking, so....

just look for Rickman

I was just half-seriously looking for a thread in which to show the low-tech custom gas tank-making notion illustrated below. Glad I landed on this one -- that is, it's a pleasure to see hamsterweight's beautiful craftsmanship again. Where is that guy, and what's he up to?

Anyway: Us guys without metalworking skills and tools deserve nice fuel tanks, too. Anybody with some patience, a jackknife, and a big ol' hunk of soft pine or balsawood can have one by following this simple suggestion. (The indicated frame mods are still definitely beyond my capability, but maybe I could whittle a frame, too.)
