Just picked up the first Pay Up Sucker Publications issue of Garage. I have yet to go through the whole mag, but production is top notch. The mag looks great. Very nice. I read about 50 mags a month (no shit, and yes I'm a freak) and this thing is as well put together as any. It is also apparent that JJ hasn't stomped all over Stoners style as the mag remains the way it was.

Of course I picked it up at JJ's number one outlet, Wal-Mart. I usually don't shop at Wal-Mart, but was there by chance. Regardless of what you think of Jesse James, this cat is the next Oprah or Martha Stewart. Hands in lotsa pies. You gotta applaud the guy cause you know the industry needs a mag like this, well written, beautiful layout, excellent production. The Horse is a literary mess, and the other shit is, well shit unless you like that crazy 80's pro street chopper shit. Did I mention most of the other bike rags are shit?

Dice and Garage to the rescue. If they would only send the Nov. issue that was returned non-deliverable.

Thanks for steppin' in Mr. James and spreadin' the word.

i've subscribed to and bought every ish of GARAGE magazine since it started. i havent seen the new ish now that JJ took control, so i cannot lift it up or put it down.
but.... i've never concidered it a motor-sickle mag.
sure they feature a few bikes now and than, but they feature more cars. mostly hot rods, beaters, customs, and drag racers. and dont forget usually near the end of the mag looks like an artsy photo shoot, but it's really just an ad for some clothes/products.
i understand, subscribers and newsstand sales will not keep a magazine survive. advertizing sponsors will.

SHIT!!! it seems i got off topic. GARAGE is a cool magazine, but it is not a motorcycle magazine.

unless they changed the format, than i take it all back.

The Horse leaves a lot to be desired. I think it's the best biker magazine out there, but if someone wanted my constructive criticism I would have a few things to say as a consumer. I don't subscribe to it. I did at one time. Now I just pick it up when I come across it and it looks interesting.

What the hell is this supposed to mean?!?!
You should take pride in what you build....not in something that has 40 different types of hot/cold knobs on it and a seat made from a piece of tire.

Or....some jackass talking about the only thing he can contribute to his shovel rebuild is a bunch of air freshners.

because "Frisco" bikes were never ratty death traps with a 40ft jockey shifter! They were made out of function and to look good.

The horse is just contributing to people just getting into motorcycles the image that the more "ratty" the bike looks and the more crap you can bolt onto it is a good thing....and unfortuantely your quote fits right into that.

I know what the hell a Frisco bike is. I also like rat bikes, thats where the ratty frisco bikes comment comes into play.
dude look.....i'm not going to get into another bickering match with you about bikes. Your 16...you have a lot to learn. Why would you be into something that looks like it should be an extra on Mad Max "Beyond Thunderdome"?

Getting back on topic...i thought the "new" Garage magazine was done pretty well. Definitely seems like it is headed in a different direction now though....those moonshine stills are badass.

Not enough Tera Patrick though :)

I like bikes with all the shit cut off of them with primer and rusty bare metal that are dirty and ridden hard. Not bikes with a hundred pounds of shit on them that look gay.
Good...........

now shut the fuck up and learn something.
