Looks like the front wheel on my 84 is rubbish so am thinking of sliding in one from a twinkie. If I recall correctly I need to sort out the speedo drive, what else is required? Any years better than others?

I don't mess with much new stuff, but I think the late model wheel takes a bigger axle than the early style, doesn't it?

Yes, but the bearings swap easy....as far as sealed bearings go in the later model stuff. I'd look into something before '99 for ease of replacement. Are you a single disc'er or duals out front? Looking to use the later billet style hub or the steel earlier version? Timkens or sealed cartridge bearings. 10" rotors still or 11.5" ? Just some things you need to consider depending on the front end/brakes/wheel size....
