ok - im putting together a new wideglide front end

how all easy except a little iddy biddy thing

those rubber dampers that go on the top yoke under the risers to help with vibrations - kinda bobbin shaped - how do you get them through the hole?

i tried a g clamp and it just compressed the rubber...

any hints appreciated

you need to remove the inner metal sleeve first.
they should split in two, upper and lower. take the sleave out and press in the top and bottom then put the metal sleave back in and you should be fine. If you can't just press them in try some soapy water.
they dont split but the metal sleeve will come out - i will try tht tonight - cheers
Astroglide is safe for rubber :) Maybe a little lube.
