Guys,I have been riding my triumph chop for a while now and though it runs like a raped ape ,I noticed that after the bike is put in gear,it hesitates a bit as it starts to move and you can hear the engine stutter as the rpm goes up..... Suddenly, when it reaches a certain Rpm, it wakes up and realy goes . What could be the cause of this ??. It is outfitted with twin Amal concentrics and runs with open headers. I also noticed that my left side exhaust realy turned dark compared to the right one.... Please Tump gurus, some advice would be appreciated.

Yep, sounds like carbs, the symptoms you mentioned (stuttering and black exhaust) would indicate a rich condition in the low to mid range...maladjusted pilot screws, worn jets, or jet needle to high? Probably not ignition, but you might want to check the timing and advance too, just to eliminate that.
