Wow!
Its been almost a year since we've talked about this I guess.

I still stand by my statement that most biker movies are unwatchable.

A friend of mine recently lent me "Leather Boys" (no, its not gay porn) & although I haven't a god damned clue what the hell they were saying (its in English....but like, you know, English English) there's some great cafe bikes & good riding footage.....if you're into that sort of thing.

Not really a biker movie, but starring the legend Steve McQueen, "The Great Escape".

Nobody in todays Hollywood even comes close.
it's true. mcqueen is the bomb.

there was a post on the front page about resurrecting his lost script, something about motorcycles, baja, and thievery. if so, that would be amazing.

For the true genre stuff:

Angels Die Hard!
or
Psychomania

For the newer post genre it has to be The Loveless

but I do love to watch Werewolves On Wheels!

10 years ago I went on a quest to collect every 60s/70s biker
ever made. Got all but about about 2 or 3. Most from closing video stores then when the internet got big from ebay and canadian resellers of closed video chain merchandise.

As they arrived at the house I would try to watch them from begining to end. Some were good, most were bad, and some were truely nausiating!!!

I never got Seate's book "2 Wheels on Two Reels" but I did plenty of research. A good sight for info is this text version of the Funhouse zine article entitled "Degenerate and Anti-Social Behavior For the Masses - The Biker Genre Of Exploitation Film"

OK, The Wild One is strangely missing from this post....

And my Favorite is Relatively recent....called Roadside Prophets,

It has John Doe (from X and the Knitters) and Adam Horovitz (Beastie Boys) Tons of cameos from Tim Leary and Arlo Guthrie and Cardine.....

Pretty good script really.....
