Found me not one but two Pre Unit Triumphs I've always wanted one. Buddy of mine has had these collecting dust since the 70'S.... Wife named the Thunderbird "Phoenix" after I sent her the cell pics good name as it will rise once again the Tr6 will be on the lift right after.
Finally my 1969 t120r has some brit buds to hang in the garage with!

Big points for perseverance. I hope it comes together easy.

The moles in your grease were probly decomposed. I prefer to obtain grease the old way, by collecting a few nice fresh moles and rendering them in a bucket.

I am certain I recently read, and did not invent, the small factoid that Lucas, or another British mag mfgr, offered a little hammer for the sole purpose of setting the mag on the tapered shaft. I'll see if I can find a citation for that claim if anybody gives a shit, or (especially) wants to bet.

That bike is real good looking. Surprises me a little that you didn't stray a bit from your mockup pictured years ago. Nice!

What is reman?
Well I'm happy to know what "reman" means, but I think it's immodest to call your own work "fab."

Ammeter/switch holder is well made. But (no offense, I have to ask) is it finished except for further polishing? Maybe it's predictable to expect its outer edge to follow the instrument's circumference closely, i.e., to simply be a larger circle, and to open out more gradually between the meter's "top" edge and the inboard mounting hole; but that's me, predictable.

Thanks for posting the new reconstruction. Been a while, hasn't it?

I'll be watching, for certain.
