my main question i gues is. what is up with the springs on top of the spring plate?? i get how the whole setup works except for those small upper springs. i have'nt seen a springer front end without them yet so i assume they are necesary for some reason. i thought they acted like a shock but then i saw a HD springer with a shock AND the little springs. am i missing something simple and obvious here??? it is late. what is the purpose of those little springs???

thanks for educating my dumb ass...

they are rebound springs, once the bike has compressed all the way..itll start unloading pressure, the forks will travel in the opposite direction forcing the wheel back down, at a certain point your forks will have passed the normal resting point and will want to continue to decompress or travel downward..these little top springs stop the front end and return it to its normal resting spot to do it all over againcrude explanaition but thats the basics of it
