I've had a few inquiries about the starter I built to fire up my twin engine drag bike. So here goes: I got the idea from Pete Morrison in New Zeland ( Excalibur Drag bike) and put my own touch to it. His is a single engine and mine is a twin so I modified it to be able to start mine. The starter is a high torque mini-starter for a small block chevy, I modified the solenoid and drive so that it no longer kicks out (ie. stays stationary). The sprocket on the starter is an 11 tooth and the driven sprocket is a 72 tooth. Starts the bike real well and does not man handle me at my wooping 142lb soaking wet self. If you have any more ?'s I'll do my best to answer them for you.
