I'll add fuel to the fire and say Jesse James is the Arlen Ness of our generation. Think about it......

I was thinking more of the merchandising end of it and the mass-production billet parts. Oh yeah, and all the gay Softtails Jesse James has built.
True, Arlen Ness hasn't built anything cool since the mid 70's. I especially dig "The Accel Monster" and "Orange Bloosom Special" He also used to manufacture a digger style frame out of 1" chromoly tubing that looked really badass.
