The early strips in the 60's were drawn by Hank Hinton. In them the bike is referred to as a 26 Indian, but what Hank drew usually was a mid teens leaf spring swingarm model or a mid/ late teens rigid, and somewhat accurate for a cartoon. The above strip is a later one drawn by Nelson Dewey and not quite accurate as Hintons.

Hogg Ryder normally rode a Webley- Vickers 50/80 V-Four (sometimes a V-Twin) in the strip. As stated above, the Old Poop rode an Indian. Once when they were having a motorcycle joust, the Old Poop shot out the front tire of Hoggs Webley-Vickers 50/80 motorcycle with a Webley-Vickers 50/80 Machine Pistol, The W-V 50/80 machine pistol is a literary reference to "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".
