Went to the NASC Nats today here in the UK. It's billed as the largest street machine show in the country. There were some nice traditional rods & a couple customs - this year, however, they added a custom bike show.

Most of the bikes were typical big-back-tire, slippery, choppers. There were a couple nice bikes though & I managed to snap a few pics of one that really caught my eye.

1st pic is a '56 KHK - they're rare enough in the states, but over here, like rocking horse shit!

Next 4 pics are a very well done iron head sporty. Lots of attention to detail on this bike & the subdued color really worked. I'm not crazy about the bars, but the rest is pretty cool...

Hey Ernie, do you have any closeup pics of the rear mudguard stays of that ironhead?

And cool pics by the way. Sounds like a fun show.
No, I sure don't. I went back to look at it again later in the day & there was constantly people around the thing, so it was hard to get any decent shots. I've attached the best I can do from the full-size pics on the camera.

The rear stay ends appeared to be flat steel formed into shapes with studs welded on from the underside - no visible hardware from the outside. I could see some minor imperfections in the chrome where the studs were welded in & not finished perfectly, but it looked pretty straight-forward.
