I'm the guy that posted Brit bike builds (a 62 Triumph engine rebuild series in 2005 and a 66 BSA rebuilding in 2023).I'm glad this post is back. At least it is about chopper history than the brit bike restorations and bikes nobody has ever heard of.

And another reason I posted the recent BSA thread: This seems like a dying board. I hate to see it wither and wanted to contribute rather than let it go. It takes work to put pics and posts together. If I thought that no one would find it useful, I wouldn't bother.
- shows skills needed to build choppers . . . wiring, welding, planning, gear setups, bracketry, tuning, etc
- helps break down fear of unknown or taking on large projects for those that are newer or are hesitant to get started
- bikes are bikes when it comes to fixing or modifying them . . . stock or chopper still runs the same engines and wheels
Maybe I overestimated the value of creating those posts.
