Carlisle Saturday

Took the car to Carlisle yesterday, hoping to pick up some needed items from the swap meet. It was pouring most of the morning and the swap field (and spectators) was the smallest I've seen. Taking the car paid off allowing me to easily transport the $5 ignition switch/key I found. Brit parts in short supply, although I did haggle over a set of 7/8" z-bars but struck out. A lot of the vendors didn't show in the rain and there were some covered/closed lots.
Found a couple of cool JJ style bikes in the show pavilion. Pretty nice dudes. JJ style bikes in short supply but Eddie Trotta was there.....

There was some nice stuff there but it had to be the worst show I ever attended. Not many cycles for sale. I guess I can blame it on the rain.

I like the front end on the green bike!
Yeah, that was pretty slick. The top triple clamp was made by the dude who built the crazy Sporty, very nice piece. Almost didn't notice it was rigid on both ends.

That was definitely the weakest swap-meet field I've seen at that event.
I stopped there today on my way back from Philly and picked up a great deal on some double stripe whites and new spoked wheels for my shovel with the side car I bought while in Philly.Looked for sure that the rain did take its toll on the event. But still if ya hunted around today there were still a few deals there though.

Good work, looking forward to seeing your new project. The vendors that were there did seem eager to deal, Saturday is not best day to bargain, but the rain sure helped. (except for that z-bar fellow!)

I should have gone on Sunday. Screw Eddie Trotta --- I could have met Shoe!
