I am wondering if anyone knows anything about the history of this bike. Raced in San Francisco/California up to around about 1989.

Thanks for this lead, I have now tracked down the previous owner. It only took 7 days! I'll post some pictures shortly, once its running again.

Just thought I'd post an update to this if anyone is interested? Tracked down previous owner. Spent a bit of time and cash doing a bit of a conversion and then did a bit of dirt dragging on it. This was last October found a few things that still need to be sorted out (got running a week before drags and had no time for testing) This year will try get bike running better and have another go at this and anything else I can find that suits.

Excellent find. Glad youre using it for racing and didn't take the route to factory restoration. Enjoy this piece of history as its a unique find.
