I was at the NY motorcycle show this past weekend and I saw this bike with copper brake lines. What do you guys think? I would think that it would not be able to hold the pressure. Looked good all polished and it followed the bars nice. Any ideas??

I don't have all of my resources with me at home today, but I am certain copper tubing is availible in a heavy wall thickness.

You guys may know that copper was used for brake lines for many years. I just finished replacing my brake line on a 36 Ford that was converted to juice brakes many years ago and every line was copper. They were in perfect shape but I didn't trust them.

Yeah copper was used back in the day.The biggest issue is that copper is more flexible,and since its softer it wears through easier.Look on old motors car and bike alike and you'll find copper gas and oil lines.

The show was OK. As usual everyone was all around Orange County Choppers so they could get their $30 autographs. What a joke. IL had some of their bikes out as well as Choppers Inc. The bike that I saw the copper lines on was a fake Pan. You know one of those evo kits to make it look like something else. The bike was set up nice but why would you buy that fake kit. Build it for what it is. O well just my thought. The copper lines looked cool and I thought that it would be easy to do. If it come in different wall thickness I just might trust it. Thanks guys.

most of my thoughts come to me daydreaming and surfing the net at work and arent nearly important enough for a phone call........i save those for when im in the garage about to throw a tool at something expensive.

i'm waiting for someone to make a kit to make a pan look like an evo

of course i've never understood why anyone would spend the money on an evo when they could buy a yamaha that looked more like a harley than the evo for half the money
