I just finished Alaskan Aberration by our own "big_al"...

Got a used copy from Amazon on the cheap, and its a signed copy!

I thoroughly enjoyed it...
Made me want to hit the road.

I'll be gettin' me a copy... my bro and I drove the Alaska Highway in '94 in a rented Mazda 626, and it about kicked our ass. Put 13K miles on a rental in 6 weeks, and it was a busted POS when he returned it to the rental place in Austin.

I can't imagine that adventure on a bike. BIG AL is for real.

That bike (the 883) has been bored to 1200 since that trip. It has around 120,000 miles......

This summer she is getting chopped....the HORROR!!!

I am tired of the stock look but I can never sell her...so it is time for a makeover!!!

And I do love to ride....long hauls.....

Just finished the book. A quick and pleasurable read, good job, Al. What a bad ass trip. I've always wanted to do the Alcan and go the other way to Costa Rica. Your book is a well written inspiration.
