Belts are for pussies who want there pants to stay up. I dunno, sounds like a personal oppinion to me. Do a comfort/coolness analysis of the too and make a decision. If you dont like getting chainl lube on your chrome, adjusting things, and something that can potentionally make more noise going down the highway than your panhead with drag pipes, than go with the belt. If you want something classic, that if by chance brakes, will more than likley saw your leg off or bind the back tire (either way your roadkill), then go with the chain. (IMO, i like shaft drive choppers).

Ha! Pros of a chain? They are Greasy and you can fix them on the side of the road.

man you paint a nice picture.

love it!!
Belts look ridiculous and are a pain in the ass to change. They also limit tire clearance.Chains are easy to change, greasy and look great. They do make sealed O ring chains that never need lubed.Never used one though.Running a chain will also make your dick 2 inches longer, your teeth whiter and get you a promotion at work.

Chains are stronger and make the bike look more mechanical and raw.

...thus automatically making belts geyh!
Belts are more modern and practical. If I wanted modern and practical I'd get another Honda.
