Your wheel is not strait, or you think its the same tire., but one of them is not so. most likely your wheel is not properly alligned.
Check again & then double check. & not by compairing threads on the axle adjusters, measure from your swing arm pivot bolt, or cross bar on the frame, some where fixed & equal on both sides.

How old was the tire you replaced , i have run into this before , mainly with off brand tires . Tires are all allowed to be off a % . So for Example a Dunlop 130 is 4.025 a Dunlop 130 Made on the first of that batch could be 4.050 Same as a Metzler Could be even bigger. If your wheel is properly aligned there is little you could do about it with out changing something else down the line . Chain alignment , wheel spacing . .... How much is it hitting by ?

Bump, if it isnt rubbin bad you can grind off the sholder of the tread, ya might have to rebalance it though.
