Works been crazy, with that and the kids starting junior high i havent had much time to play in the garage but finally last night got the shovel put back together, its a 71 fx with a wideglide front, 5 gal tanks, fresh motor and tranny, kick only jockey....pretty happy as this is the first motor/tranny i have ever done.
I like it, if you can get past all the bullshit you have to go through at the dealer and can service it yourself or know a good indy they are good bikes lol.
hadnt been to a boutique in 3-4 years and while i love the bike the buying experience and dealing with anyone related to a dealer pretty much sux.
Back to the road glide I live in colorado got mine from a dealer in ohio. Drove my car to ohio sold it and road the bike back. I love the handling also did a fatbaggers frame section so I set down in it more. 22,000 miles in a year and still on the original tires and 50 mpg.
yes they do handle well, i had an 05 with about 70k i traded in. The new frame is much better. I only have about 9k on this but will be doing florida to alaska next year...seat and windshield were my too main complaints, but a russell day long on and a cee glide sorted that out
