So I was putting my rocker boxes on and was going around tightening each bolt (gently, I thought) and felt the terrible slip on this one. Pulled it back out to find plenty of Aluminum coming with it.

What are my options? Can I tap it to a larger size? Does it need to be welded and then retapped? Whole new Cylinder head??!? guhhhhhhhh

Please let me know!

Most Triumph heads have 1 or 2 helicoils in them by now.Get the longest helicoils you can fit in,not standard 1.5D length.
It's easy enough to do on an assembled engine,if you're careful.Just make sure you tap the hole squarely.

The trick is to always loosen these bolts last, and always tighten them first (not too tight) before you tighten other nuts/bolts on the rockerbox.
