Has anyone seen or know where I can get a replacement axle for this setup?

Unfortunately I had to cut through mine to get the rear wheel out of the bike as it was dry as a bone and had jammed in the left side wheel bearing.

It's a 3/4" diameter axle, is 10-1/4" long and has tapped holes in each end for the bolts that run through the end cap/spacers.

These are the end cap/spacers that slide over each end of the axle.

I've got other options, but just thought if someone knows where you can get these, then a simple replacement would be my quickiest & easiest option.

What make frame did it come with? otherwise I'd check the walmart of bike parts... J&P cycles

Any Machine shop should be able to make one.

Lack of maintenance by the previous owner was the problem.

Looks pretty simple to machine one up. Looks clean enough, although it looks like there's a lot of potential for profanity and a slight risk of cross-threading while you're putting the rear wheel on the bike.

But, like Kgb said - any machine shop should be able to whip one up quickly.

If the ends are salvageable it will be a lot cheaper. I can't tell from the pics exactly what's going on with it.

Yeah I was thinking if anything is going to hit the lathe it would be these end caps. We'd cut the ends for the recessed bolt heads off and turn them into spacers so a regular Harley axle can go the whole way through them, and so making it easier to find replacement axles in future.

I can't say I like the current setup, but thought if someone recognised it as being an off the shelf cheapy item from somewhere like Taiwan Ted's then I'd take the easy way out and just replace it.

Ledsleds use that kinda setup with there hardtail sections, minus the fancy bolt covers.
