Anyone go to single carb on Trump 650

I was wondering if anyone on here had used a 2 into 1 carb manifold for a 650 trump? I have been debating going to 1 carb to ease tuning. Saw this on eBay and got me thinking. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRIUMPH-T-120R-650CC-2-TO-1-CARB-INTAKE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35620QQihZ018QQitemZ280013791113QQrdZ1

Thanks.

Thats just a tige rmanifold it won't work on a duel carb head . + single carbs blow !!!! Run duels and be a man about tuning !
Yup...gotta have a single carb head to use that intake....duals look killer...but are definitely more work
Matt,I think this item is listed wrong. The intake looks to me like it will only work on a TR6 head.If you have a Bonneville look at the angles of the intake. It is not flat like this piece. This type manifold will bolt up to the head, not the stubs. That's for the single carb 650 model.I have a 69 TR6 with a single carb and it sure is easier to tune.Either it runs good or it doesn't.By the manual you only gain 3 HP by having dual carbs. If you decide to go the dual carb route there is a carb sync. tool that was shown in the tech archives.Good luck.
I think that is just a tr6 intake for a triumph 650 that is a single carb head not to convert a bonnie if that is what you have witch is the twin carb head to a single carb. But a single carb workes almost as good as a twin, the twin is just a little better at top end.But if your carbs are wore out you wont ever tune them in. I would just spring for new carbs if they are wore out but first maybe get some one to help you tune them. JEFF
Thanks guys, I was kind of leary of the manifold as I had never seen one before. I guess I will stick with dual carbs and just learn to tune them properly. Just had a lot of ideas going through my head while the frame is out getting a hard tail made for it.
i got a tiger 650 with a single carb.. the non able one. i can get pictures?
im also running a single carb on my .040 over 650 with a milled head & hot cams. the bastard wants to tear my arms out of the sockets once the revs are up. i seriously have a hard time keeping my ass on the damn seat. the powerband feels a lot like a 2 stroke. single carbs arent all that bad if they are jetted properly & the motor can breathe everywhere else.
