I need to take the lens off my Yamaha speedo gauge, the face plate came loose. The only way i can figure to do this is carefully pry the aluminum edge back and slide the lens cover off.
Anyone got a better idea?

Cut the metal trim perendicular with a Dremel tool verrryyyyy carefully on the spot you'll notice the least. Make whatever repair is necessary. Put trim back in place and JB weld it back together. Some black paint applied with a fine brush, and it'll look just mediocre enough for street use. Worked fine for my XS650 tachometer.

I was just thinking the same thing. Theres a gasket that will hide that ground off edge as long as i dont grind to close to the side.
Thanx!!
