Hi guys. Some of you already know me, my names Ant, I come from England. I run the SFC message board and choppers101.com

I'm building a T120 chop VERY slowly out of bits I can score for not a lot of cash and bargain for.

Welcome Ant. Is that a Bantam tank I see in that box? I'll be curious to see how that looks. I have been checking those out lately to use on something in the future.
Hey Shoe, I'm all safe and sound in my home right now. I can't imagine anyone attacking this dump :)

BigDdy31 it is a bantam tank, you got some eagle eyes there :)

I'm plying about with it trying to see how it'll look mounted high up on the back bone. Hopefully my good friend will help with the welding when he does my motor mounts as it's beyond my skill level and I have no welder or money to buy one.

I'll post pics if I manage to mock it up tommorow
First mock up of the BSA tank.

Gonna drop it over the back bone and see how that looks too

Welcome aboard Ant!
I do hope everyone's safe over there....you guys have been through enough shit in the past 65 years...

You know, its my honest opinion that there's not enough people named "Ant".
You don't by any chance tie people to bumpers and drag them do you?

:D
Hi Richie,
Most are safe, I didn't go to work today because of a chest infection, but I'm still trying to locate some missing people for my buddy.

Can't say I've ever tied anyone to a bumper, I guess I may have missed the joke :)
Welcome Ant! Really digging what you got so far. I like the look of the tank mounted high on the back bone.

Ya'll need to cut the soccer holligans loose so they can clean England up!!

Well he may not drag people from bumpers but I bet he can move the hell out of a rubber tree plant no matter what Laverne and Shirley think. Besides, any guy who'll use a Bantam tank can't be all bad. ;)

So Ant, I like the Bantam tank shape a lot. I agree that it could use a drop over the backbone...by how much I'm not sure. Do you have a saddle you can hang on there to give some perspective for tank placement? And what about the tabs on the front of the tank? Do something with them? Leave them? Cut'em off? I haven't been able to decide how to make them fit. Oh and thanks for letting me use you as the Bantam tank guinea pig. :)
Here is more bantam tank action.

Don't like the mounts, then cut em off :)

No seat yet, gonna mount the tank where it looks right then worry about the seat later.

Oh and I get the joke now :)
I think I would push it towards neck a tad bit and raise tunnel about half the distance of the drop.Hard to explain and i dont have photo shop basically have the backbone run thru the middle area of the big end of tank.

I dunno, I'm still for the high mount.

I'm going to cut the tank up and work out how to put the new tunnel in.

It is nowhere near as easy as a HD tank.
Did you just say "Southern Friend" ???

:D
