Hi folks. New guy from south Texas, Sugar Land actually. Southwest of Houston. Been many, many years without a bike. But kids getting older and daughter off to college and the 63 Chevy project mostly (kinda, sorta, maybe never) complete. And the wife has indulged my desire for a bike project, much to the pleasure of my teenage son. So I now have parts and bits from a 71 OIF that I am working on. Been here frequently to learn and now joined. Have so much more to learn but look forward to it. Thanks so much.

@dsallean: I grew up in Sugar Land...from my parents house you can see the sugar factory (or what's left of it). Good luck with the projects.

@TPrice: Our offices are up in Conroe and you'd be mortified to see what the drought has done to the lake. Have some buddies who live on the lake and just now able to get their boats out of the slips.

Typical south TX spring weather here.

Sugar factory is mostly still there but soon to be a real estate development. And you can see the new minor league baseball stadium near it.
