The original 1950s alt/charging system went to shit. I converted the bike to 12v neg ground, only need a battery for headlight, taillight, and horn, and need a replacement.

Hitchcock's (UK) sells an adapter to fit a new Bullet stator, but I'd rather have something more robust.

I've seen the Wassell or Sparx kits (stator, rotor, reg/rec) but I don't know if they'll fit the mounting posts in my primary.

rewind it? simple enough and a lot of shops will do that ... You could research and improve your wattage output as well.

I was hoping more for a plug & play with off-the-shelf parts. Searched around and found a couple of armature/motor shops in CA, but thought I'd have a bigger peace of mind with something brand new, with tight tolerances, probably really shiny too and not a fixed 50+ year old item.

shold be good to go rewound and you can modify the windings to get more watts out of it. Something that the 70's honda folks have been doing a while. If i was not so tiered i would look it up but I would jsut get it wrong right now
