i'm still trying to figure out what rear brake set up to put on my deal, so let me ask you guys what you're running, and how you feel about it....

i'm building a santee 2 up rigid with an 88" shovel and a late 5 spd.
i have an ultra narrow d&d springer with a hallcraft type spoolie up front so no disc brake for me. i'll probably put a mini brake front on for inspection, etc.

so my choices so far are the softail style caliper and the fab kevin setup.
i really like the positioning of the softail caliper, but i'm not sure if its enough or even right for my setup.
does fab kevin offer a set up in that between the rails position???

my decision is based on the three big factors...performance, looks and $$$.
trying to get the best of all worlds without spending 700 bucks.

any input would be appreciated

My bike is a rigid santee frame with a 4 speed kicker and a 102 ci evo motor. I am running a 11.5 inch PM disc with a PM caliper. Stops like a Mofo!

Here is a pic of mine. I run no front brake and can shut this thing down pretty quickly. $10 rotor, $10 caliper, $10 master cylinder (Brembo) $10 machined adapter for fitting rotor to Harley hub. I found a local dude that deals in crashed rice rockets he has piles of brakes to choose from. Hit the Junk Yard.

have the standard pre2000 HD rear brake setup with a 11.5" drilled rotor, did it's job when I had front brake issues. Easy to lock up.
AlteredP I through that parts bin together for you. I am moving this month, we'll have to hook up sometime.
