Looking for a rear caliper assembly (see attached picture, minus the chrome) for a 79 sportster
As long as the bore is clean and no stripped holes I don't care if it's missing the guts

Not exactly. Although the 80-83 FLT left caliper starts with the same casting, there are two significant differences. 1.) The bleeder and feed are reversed from the XL rear caliper. 2.) Although you can't see it in the picture, the piston is a different size. It's smaller so that when using two of them on the dual disc front, the master cylinder to combined caliper ratio is right for the 3/4" handlebar master cylinder. The left is a mirror image of the pictured right, I just didn't have one to take a picture of. The one marked "FX front" was also used on dual disc XLs.
