Well lets see if I can make this work!
Found this on the Dallas Craigslist so some of you might recogonize it. I don't know who did the paint or anything else about its history. I like it and I'll have a few questions here and there but I know how I want it to turn out.

This is what I found.

The Springer was 100% complete and so is the engine.
The hard tail mod looks good so its just a matter of bolting it all up.

I installed new head bearings that I got from NAPA. They were 12 bucks each. I didn't need the "special seal" ones that Big D cyces had at 45 bucks each.
And I deciced on using a HD rear wheel. I sold off the extra frame, extra forks and the original rear wheel to help pay for other stuff I wanted.

I found all rear engine brackets in the box so it went right in and the wide whitewall tires are gonna look great!

Got the wheel spacing set and the chain is on.
Need to find a brake caliper that I can make work on the other side now.

So this pretty much where it is now.
Need to make seat brackets, and I should get the front wheel in a week or so.

Hey Man. Sweet bike, about the only things I'd change on it is the seat and put a white one on it and probably bend that guard around a bit more to fit the wheel properly. But otherwise you've got yourself a sweet build.

Thanks! I've already got a plan to shorten/shim the rear fender and make it look like its not a rooster tail.... I should have my front wheel and carbs back on this weekend. I'll get more pix up when I do.
